Whenever I play as Agent or want to make a complex chemical when playing as nukies I find it annoying to sort all the jugs on the floor out and pouring it into a beaker.
Me and my brother were talking about a Interdyne herbals chemical dispenser that couldn’t be emaged for more lead, etc… and maybe do something like shock the player (through the combat gloves lol) to reinforce the message or something along those lines.
This would make it easier and quicker for Agents to make specific chemicals like Inap and would save a lot of time fumbling with jugs into beakers then into the Chemaster.
P.S: Also a hand labeler for jugs for those clumsy Agents!
Maybe a less needed feature that would be nicer for newer players and War ops would be a faster Hot plate. As waiting for some chems like Pyra could cut into time during War ops.
I don’t know lavabeakers, but i do know that you can put 1u of a chem in there to superheat it. I just threw the idea out there for people who might not know the trick. =(
The previous problem with nukies having a chemical dispenser on their station was they would spend 45 minutes playing chemist making super ultra giga deathbombs and ultra healing juice only to get rolled by some civilian jobs when they finally worked up the nerve to assault the station at the 50 minute mark.
That doesn’t seem like a having a chemical dispenser problem, I’ve still been waiting 50+ minutes for the agent to finish his “Ultimate concoction” just for us to get turned into microwaved dinners to x-ray cannons even without a chemical dispenser on our nukie outpost.
(trying to) not giving my opinion on weather they should or not.
but i would guess that part of the reason for that was due to chem dispensers previously not being limited. which has since been changed.
how does it take that much more time than using a chem dispenser would? doesn’t take more than a minute to click+drag four jugs of chems into the chemmaster, and having everything in one place could easily save more time than it takes to transfer chems
unless you’re putting every single chemical you have access to in the chemmaster before doing anything else? in which case: why
fair point about the pills, though. chemmaster pulling from the buffer to make pills is so annoying…
Nukies use pills!?
This is the first I’ve heard of it
I guess you swallow a pill and then go into danger healing at the same time but at that point you can just drink the chems and then go in too. Also, hypothesis here, if you give people pills I feel that might just make them want to go in alone more and not fall back, meaning they’ll just get cornered more easily. They’ll think they can heal themselves, but in reality pills work so slow vs a syringe or injectors.
From a chem mains POV; I would not be bothering with pills. That is indeed the one fault with ChemMasters, you can’t put specific things into the pill buffer and it doesn’t have a sep buffer. Also, I never put every single chem into the master either. I have it in my head by now a specific order and what chems I won’t use at all when playing Chemist. Nukies likely won’t make everything like a normal chem, I imagine it’s just: Punc, Saline, Derma, Bicar, maybe Pyra/Arith/Dex+ depending on the situation n how long nukies took to get there. If you’re just making the first 4, you aren’t gonna need like over half the chems from the vend and should have them done in around 5 minutes if you heat your beaker once and use the chemmaster. Even if you don’t superheat your beaker you’d still likely have those done in around 10 minutes.
My first shift as agent I did try to make my fellows use meth pills.
Probably did not play agent for long time after that given how little proper containers nukies have for meds and pills being pain with both buffer and use(you most likely are in space, duh!).
Best other alternative are extra syringes of ready injections.
Oh, did I mention nukies do not even have a bloody HAND LABELER?
