I would love the ability to add words to a whitelist of sorts to be highlighted in the chat log.
For example, in SS13 on Goonstation, this feature existed and I would set some words to be highlighted to be my character name, role, or other features relevant to my position.
If I was AI, I would whitelist ‘AI’, my AI name, etc. If I was janitor, I would set words such as ‘clean,’ ‘dirty,’ ‘janitor,’ ‘jani,’ etc to be highlighted. This allowed me to easily and quickly parse the chat logs for things pertinent to my role, allowing me to quickly respond and assist.
This feature was especially helpful while playing AI, due to the large volume of chat messages in the logs, allowing me to quickly filter to things that needed my urgent attention.
