Events leading to the ban
This ban is weird. To clarify an important detail going forward: This ban is only for the stated above, if it was for something else or about additional remarks I have on my record it would state as such. I will clarify and explain and give avenues for gathering evidence or first hand viewing of one relavent ban which might have contributed to this in addition to information for this ban itself.
If i was being banned for anything in addition to my sentence above it should be included, it would say “multiple strikes” if I had things they considered those, “continual bad behavior” if I demonstrated it. I believe I will put forth enough evidence in screenshots and information to make you believe otherwise to any of the claims above if you judged them to be true. Otherwise, I will present enough information to ensure: My character, my skill, and my innocence, BEYOND any reasonable doubt or bias.
A warning, due to my PC I was limited in my ability to gather as many screenshots as I would’ve liked.
The story starts with the friday before my ban I learn I have to move houses, I learn as I go into testing week for my classes. I absolutely bomb a test on the day of the ban and I come home to play my comfort game. I spawn in and decide on making hyperz and meth and selling it as a funny gimmick. With 260~ hours on chemist as my second main role should I be needed I have the skill and my partner consents to my meth plan IC before I get antag token. Once I get it I am hounded by syndies and they do everything but drag me into maints to meet with them. I say multiple times I just wanna relax and dont wanna play objectives.
(clarification: by saying I dont wanna play objectives IC I mean I dont find it fun to work syndicate like a 9-5)
They immediately LOOC rule lawyer me stating that admins had already ruled that I HAD TO, forced to, play objectives. I snap at this, I am stressed. I am tired. And some clearly inexperienced and misslead person is rules lawyering me. “They seem to think that I not only have to cooperate(which I believe I dont) but heavily imply that since I know about them and their objectives that I am fully responsible for their objectives.” With that mind like the true pure blooded canadian I am. I call them/my kill obj at the time “fuckers” and thinking I’ve sufficiently trash talked them once they start repeating themselves I leave the situation.
Im fucked up and my previous plan is out the window, what was a supposed to be a relaxing drug trip turned into a psychotic aimless run around the station before sec catches me, and I manage to catch my breath and realise I am in no state to NOT fuck something up. I dont resist arrest and ensure I put sec on the right track to cryo me. I ghost and leave the game and join a couple hours later after sleeping, eating, drinking water, you know how it be. then I’m banned.
To clarify, and you can check the round replay (I cant due to my PC being to low spec) I did NOT: say anything homophobic, racist, sexist. Do ERP. Grief beyond my role or in fact, kill a SINGLE soul, not even a rat. Yet you already know it but i got the same ban length and severity (with no mention of appealability should I testify my side of the case) as those who actively harm and want to harm members of my community.

“Antagonist Team Sabotage, Griefing.” I couldnt team sabotage as I am allowed to, am not entirely on their team, and did no griefing. I spent my 20 tc on my objective and have the sufficient skill to back up such a purchase with my playtime as proof of this. There is no griefing when spending TC as I can more then compensate for it. The only possible griefing is: walking out on them, Calling them the equivalent of a playground insult(not sure if I did this part), and not completing THEIR objectives after theyve revealed themselves. The below screenshots I’ll try to play in here from the discord show that not only am I fully within my explicite rights to do the above, but the implied message is that should I even be allowed to stab them in the back, kill them for TC I should have no stake or care over their objectives. meaning with the actions I did there is no possibility or room for griefing. If I griefed I griefed the station by running around with meth.

“instead of doing your objectives […] rendering others unable to do their objectives” It has been helpfully clarified that other peoples objectives are not mine to even care for. that I could stab my syndi in the back who says they need me alive so I can take their TC completely denying them their objectives.
“You also argued in LOOC about you abandoning your traitor objectives.” yea the arguement was about this TOPIC but the result is being white lie lied away here as they fail to mention how I mention in the same instance “I will kill those fuckers later” showing FULL intent but not just that a burning and inextinguishable PASSION to do my objectives… if you take it as an isolated sentence. Remove it from my character. IRL state of mind. Maybe view it second hand via a friend to.
Additional factors which shouldve lead up to the ban or influenced admin decision:

- I dumped 20 on a syndicate reinforcement and gave them cham clothes to parade them around as my fashionista (originally was going to be femboy but an admin objected despite doing a whole 20 minute bit to dress them up)
- got banned for suiciding on nukies back when it was the norm on nukies (reinforce was a staggering 8 tc or something so they’d always get 4+), it was fixed by the time I was ubanned so there was no reason for anyone do it then.
- [IMPORTANT] I was yellow remark role banned from sec 3 couple days prior i will now address this below since it deserves special attention.
A counter to the above: I have multiple admin remarks which show that although I have caused instances I was respectful, communicative and kind in ahelp to warrent it being mentioned in the admin remark. To further strengthen my character, you will have a record of a ahelp incident slightly prior to my ban. Where, I went loud as a syndicate where I showed that although I was killing people and gibbing sec and cap, I showed enough comprehension of the rules to ensure that no one rotted even as I mowed down 20-25 people who had guns, while dealing with a rogue ai for some reason. The incident was let off though there may be an admin remark to help prove this incident.
3 day sec roleban: [this isnt an appeal for this but due to this bans circumstances and proximity its being addressed. its term is over by the time I write this]
On a failed zed nuke ops round around 40 minutes in. A cadet insults me then resigns and after I am stern about leaving in vault what would be then contra in his possession which since he’s a cadet and disrespects command there is no reasonable circumstance to claim that he could be relied to return. At the first chance he runs, bolts out (ignores a point to stop if I remember right). I arrest him take the item then give him a joke 5 minutes with intent to let him leave on good behavior after 1 minute. Clarifying in LOOC due to his confusion, that it was RP and through my own way informed him he was being cocky. Admin messages me after 30 seconds and proceeds to be adamant that I am in the wrong for: arresting a cadet for breaking the law given proper circumstances where he wouldve been the biggest threat to security since nothing was happening. Giving him a proper sentence for it.
The poor guy ends up spending nearly 10 minutes in the cell before someone lets him out as i argue with admin. As, I would prefer not to have what is clearly a grey area admin remark to make me seem like a bad player. As I actually have something to lose in this circumstance I am at an emotional disadvantage and the admin doesnt take any mature approach to remove themselves or to say it was final and ignore me. I dont want in this situation to possibly have it used against me and ironically do what im doing now. So after I argue it and the admin starts repeating themselves and I clarify that the arguement he’s brought up again I’ve already dismissed and they’ve silently agreed with. They simply say “since you love arguing so much your now getting a ban XD. Enjoy :)” and I’ll admit I LAUGH at them for making a “haha I’m god in this situation and you’ve pissed me off somehow” villian remark. and proceed to white lie in the admin remark to give anyone who would read it the impression that I was ALWAYS deserving of the ban and that I was not just arguementative but rude as they left it intentionally vague or open to interpretation. There was no mention that it was a smaller kind of admin interaction. previously or that it was “upgraded” or “promoted”.

What I did was not against the rules, was clarified by admins to not be against the rules, and cant be construded to be against the rules.
I did not cause any harm, disrupt the round beyond calling someone names behind their back, and I left the round for a reason which is supported by my IC and LOOC dialogues and actions. The reason I left additionally goes beyond the scope of a single round.
The ban is excessive for what it claims I did as a appeal only syndi ban is the max for what I did. The ahelp shows they did not view what I did, nor did the banning admin look at what I did.
Its been 2 weeks which normally wouldve been a max ban should what I have done been legitimately against the rules.
The only thing to bring up here in the conclusion is that I have been a strong HOS and secoff player with players going so far as to state:
in OOC.
I hold as HOS and a secoff, low times to nearly non existent jail times to promote a better player experience, but the moment someone is hurt, or contra is used negatively the timers only ever reach 10 minutes. In addition, a special note to make is that 15 minutes as a secoff is not given to anyone but people who are clearly just causing issues for the station, and after being given multiple lenient moments I prioritize the station over these such individuals which demonstrate a continual and or serious threat to the overall safety. and perma them. My playstyle is to reduce risks and stress on secoffs while being stern on keeping tabs on, or reducing risks altogether. The above is a screenshot which promotes this idea as it was a round where I was successful enough to not be called shitsec but be praised as sec instead. It’s a dream to be praised as sec for all the right reasons.
