Events leading to the ban

Joined the shift, saw some lasers. Walking down the corridor, I saw a downed officer getting dragged by crew. They left his stun baton, so I took it for self-defence because I thought that there is a danger on station. Went to sec to give it back, but no one opened the door. After few minutes I saw a fight.
I think a passenger was fighting someone coming from security and other player in this area joined to fight him. At the moment I thought than this guy is some type of bad guy or a syndicate because multiple people were fighting him. I helped to stun him using stun baton and took his laser sword. I tried to fight him, but I was losing to his laser pistol so hid behind a corner and I gave laser sword to some passenger who asked for that.
After that I got banned. No message from admin or anything, just banned.

Reason the ban should be removed

I’m new to this game and still dont understand a lot of things. At the time of writing this i dont even know what exacly happend and what im banned for. I think that in a heat of a moment i was fighting wrong people? Ban reason sugested some type of raid (like on twitch?) but im not a part of any and if not, im not familiar with this definition in ss14.
I wasn’t contacted by admin about that, so I couldn’t defend myself or get information what exactly I did wrong.

i’m asking for reduction of my penalty. I thint that this whole sytuation was coused by my inexperiente in the game and general confiusion in that moment.
Im very sorry for whole sytuation.
If reduction in not possible i would like to now specific ban reason so i can learn the game and correct my actions.

Hello. During the round where you got banned, many different players were coordinating griefing the server with the aim of doing as much damage as possible. This is known as raiding. You were caught in the crossfire. The ban will be lifted and will not impact your account in the future.
