Missing rules thread

In this thread i want to help everyone to gather what rules we are missing from the new ruleset. Here are the ones i found:

  • “no snitching who killed you when you die” rule is completely missing in lrp (yes this rule existed before, i don’t like i have to round remove any witnesses)

  • “suicide bombing against antags (mainly nukies)” rule

No snitching was MRP rule, after change you can even rat out people while you are in crit(kind of?)if its LRP. :godo:

Wrong, even lrp had this rule before the rule rework. Literally the entire lrp community was following the rule as well. I don’t even know from where people are taking the idea at they need to be round removed for no snitch

You can use the wiki to check rule history - this was not in the LRP rules before the rewrite. New Life Rule as far as I know has only been an MRP thing.

Check here under “Do not use outside information to gain an advantage [Metagaming]” if you need proof

That’s weird, i guess this was a community rule all the lrp community followed then. And i believe it should actually be added to lrp now since after the rule update i have seen more people breaking this and snitching, soon people will get round removed only so they stay quite…

Added wizden-servers and removed space-station-14

Hello. The rule you are describing was not a rule on lrp prior to the rewrite. This was an mrp amendment to the rule stating you can’t remember events that happened while you were dead to extend to what led to your death. Suicide bombing against antags, or other disproportionate actions by the crew that cause more damage to the station than the antags is still against the rules.

Are there any plans of making that mrp rule also apply in lrp?

No, mrp rules are mrp specific because:

  1. MRP by definition requires a higher standard of roleplay,
  2. We can be reasonable sure that we can impose higher standards to the mrp playerbase which is usually more experienced, and also willing to rely more on roleplay for their gameplay.

Trying to put the mrp rules in mrp will make it less palitable to more casual players, and will also represent a much higher burden for admins to enforce.
