Seeing a janitor in a maid outfit is funny on one hand, but tragic when they get validhunted by someone in a welding mask. There are MANY items that would be funny if they didn’t immediately unshield that they’re syndicate only, so I’d recommend just moving them to MNGR wire inventorys. (contraband, by name)
(this also applies to the secdrobe’s cowboy gear. no im not malding YOU’RE CRYING)
just ahelp those who metagame that your gear is syndicate(unless it specifically says so in the description/name)
sure that works for some items like dehydrated carp, but the point of funni item being more accessible still stands
Ok, hot take, there’s almost no point in these items if they aren’t at least vaguely accessible to non-antags.
Since they’re mostly cosmetic, the best they can do is give a loud antag a cooler outfit.
If there’s a reasonable way for crew to get them, it just enables them to get some silly drip and lets less loud antags get away with having style without people metagaming.
Also, like, you really can’t solve metagaming entirely. Even if one officially can’t target someone for the maid outfit, they will know that’s a valid item and even subconsciously act on that. Or they’ll have to make an effort to be oblivious. Either way, just solving that with a “no metagaming” rule doesn’t quite work and is gonna be unpleasant to most parties involved.
