RealQuesarito - Referring to roleplay rules as "nazi" when being bwoinked

Ban reason: [Referring to the rules as “nazi” after being told not to make us of contraband as captain and hire punpun as a bodyguard with AA]
Length of ban: [4,320 Minutes / Until January 5th]

Events leading to the ban: [I was playing captain, on evac when a syndie with an e-sword started murder-boning everyone, to which I managed to crit him, then took his e-sword so no other traitor could grab it.
After the round ended I then activated it for 5-10 seconds total during post-game, and jokingly asked another crewmate to 1v1 with his own e-sword. I never carried through with the 1v1 or did I use the e-sword in any way other than activating it for that short duration as it was only a joke. Immediately after, I was bwoinked and told not to use contraband, to which I replied explaining that I wasn’t actually using it, getting it off a syndie during evac, and only to jokingly ask another crew member to 1v1.

After that, I was still then scolded on my possession of it, which I regretfully responded with “crazy how nazi the roleplay rules are when stuff like the grand lottery exists”
I understand that referring to the rules as “nazi” was intense, and looking back at the situation I regret my choice of words.
(I’d also like clarify that I was not referring to any of the staff or admins as nazis, because apparently that was how a lot of them perceived it)

Also- my ban reason also states I gave pun-pun AA, which was not the case. I did however appoint him as my bodyguard as situations on the station escalated. I was told to refer to the rules which states that if I wish to have an accompanying bodyguard that it should be an appointed secoff, which I understand now and apologize for.
I am familiar with the rules, however I read them several hundred gameplay hours ago and regrettably did not remember every smaller detail of them, which led to my ignorance in appointing punpun as my guard.]

Reason the ban should be removed:
[I realize my reaction to being bwoinked was inappropriate, I thought what I was doing was just harmless fun in the moment didn’t consider my actions like jokingly asking for a e-sword 1v1 to be serious. I was just trying to have light hearted fun and didn’t realize making punpun blueshield was against the rules. I’ve always tried my absolute best to uphold the rules of the server, but occasionally forget some of the more minor less known rules that you don’t hear about as often. </font>As&nbsp;a long time player who holds this game, and it’s community in high regard; I am appealing this because it troubles me now having a ban on my previously clean record. I’d greatly appreciate&nbsp;a second opinion on the matter]

Hello if you don’t mind I’ll be editing your original message to put your amended appeal in its place.

Hello again, sorry for the delay we have had an influx of appeals so we can’t always get to everything quickly. I will strike out the AA part of your ban however everything else seems to be in order. After some brief discussion I’ve had with other admins we have decided to deny the rest of this appeal, it should be ending soon.

To enable speedy review of all appeals, appeals that meet certain requirements may bypass the standard, often lengthy, review process. Our banning policy requires appeals which are denied using the speedy review process have this notice placed on them. Any of the following criteria typically make an appeal eligible for the speedy review process:

  • the ban length is less than or equal to 14 days,
  • the appeal is older than 7 days, or
  • the result of the appeal is obvious.

In some cases, the banning admin may process the appeal. The banning admin cannot process the appeal if:

  • the facts that led to the ban are disputed,
  • the appeal makes a claim that the admin who placed it was biased, or
  • the ban was not within the ban guidelines.

You may contact a head game admin if you believe this appeal was handled improperly, but should be aware that this will typically only result in a review of the processing of the appeal itself, with the appeal being re-opened if an issue is found. An appeal is considered to have been processed improperly if the criteria to use the speedy review process was not met, or if the facts which the processing admin relied on to process the appeal were incorrect. You must concisely describe why you believe the appeal was handled improperly. If no issue is found with the processing of the appeal, the appeal itself will not be re-reviewed. If, in bad faith, you claim that an appeal was handled improperly, the reviewing head admin may decide to extend the time you must wait before you appeal and/or extend your ban duration. You can find a full list of staff, including head game admins at the staff directory.
