Remove Antimov until AI is more fleshed out

As it stands, AI is very easy to Antimov, and very unfun to fight against. AI needs turrets, and a freeform module, before it can even begin to work as an antag. Not to mention the fact that the AI core doesn’t even have HP, so you can’t just beat it to death, instead having to cut it off from the station to pseudo-kill it.

I agree 100%

Engineers can remove AI from the station in 2 mins with RCD.
4 squares around AI just has to be detached and its off grid.

The tricky part is that currently you need at minimum RCD to remove AI and that should be solved sooner than later.

The reason I dont want Antimov to be removed is that we can see how effective can AI be and its better that for few weeks is OP If it even is at current stage… And to see how to balance it later on.

Why can’t you just reset its lawset via the upload computer?

These are all things that would make a rogue AI more powerful, not less. I am not sure why these changes would make it so Antimov isn’t as powerful.

The only real thing that should be changed to make antimov leas devastating is to reduce the HP pool of security cameras and making them not just take 2 sheets of steel and a single LV.

That and making the AIA wire actually stop the camera from letting the AI interact through it.

And maybe Syndimov board cause right now nukies insert antimov board and AI can be like “wow cool, time to get you killed anyways cause if you nuke station I can’t follow my laws, -24TC lol”.

Maybe Nukimov board with primary law doing everything in your power to detonate nuke. Right now AI is still your enemy, just that ideally it can balance crew vs nukies with its impact JUST enough for nukies to lose and not detonate but harm as much crew as possible.

That should not be the case. As its 2nd laws is to ignore all orders which goes AGAINST the law 1 which is to kill crew.
AKA if Nukie says, protect me, I am arming nuke, that will kill the crew and destroy you.
By its 2nd law, it should obey that order.

Borgs used to follow crew laws but that lead to borg players basically beg to get emagged… So nowadays:

Urist McEMAG: Borg Law 2, open yourself.
Borg can follow law 2 and do what crew wants, for sake of argument lets assume they did. They get Emagged.

BWOINK

For failure to protect law 1, law 2, law 3 by following law 2 player gets banned from playing borg. This means correct way to follow your laws and protect them was to NOT follow law 2. :godo:

Now lets get back to Station AI, I doubt you would get bwoinked by harming crew as Antimov because you are literally following your laws, but at same time a case can be made that in order to protect their laws Antimov AI would have to avoid some harm and assist in killing nukies as not doing so leads to them to nuking station and failure to protect your own laws by getting destroyed.

Nukie version of antimov would get rid of the dilemma and make 24TC purchase bit better as you would convert AI into ally rather than 3rd party that may or may not still work against you.

@EDIT
Well, after rereading silicon rules again, I guess its okay to get destroyed even if it means you won’t be able to follow your rules as it does not violate OOC rule of allowing/requesting law change. That said nukies often will take crew IDs or take a valid role making them crew, which makes AI want to harm them, nukie version of board would still be beneficial for them to gain an ally.

There is big issue with the AI and Borgs, it specially crew ID and HUDs. I had very long back and fourth with multiple admins and they all responded with answers to this scenario

“Borg sees captain getting killed, then his ID removed and then ordered by Killer with Captain ID to gib the ID less Body captain”

Borg can refuse that order. As long as the borg player plays it consistently.
Aka if the killer gets killed by another tider takes his ID and tells him to kill the captain killer, borg has to refuse that order as well.

As borg laws are up to the interpretation and different people can and its allowed to interpret them in vastly different ways and both ways are valid ways to play.

So AI knows who nukies actually are if he gets Antimov, nukies with ID can be ignored as targets to kill per say. Tho i assume if crew puts stolen nukie armor, AI should Roleplay as if that “good” crew player is actually his ally who wants to kill the crew and help him until AI sees he’s hindering the rest of the Nukies nuke the station…

Its complicated and very mushy… Nothing about borgs is set in stone because of borgs ability to vastly differently interpret the laws.
