Ryansilky ban appeal for "harassment on unity station"

Ban reason: Harassment, permabanned from Unitystation for valid reasons, ban carried over. No appeal
Length of ban: Permanent
Events leading to the ban: it’s been i think a few years now so im not really sure but i did used to annoy people on unitystation a bit i guess by sometimes killing everyone but other than that and maybe ban evading on it i’d say i wasn’t too bad
Reason the ban should be removed: it’s been years and id just like a chance to try out this game and can’t see why me being banned on unitystation was even reason to ban me here to begin with.

It looks like you said a ton of homophobic and anti-furry stuff, along the lines of hoping that people would die, at unity station and then that ban was mirrored here.

It also looks like that over here you might not have been a great player. One of the most recent things in your OOC logs I see is “they broke all the rules so idk how im breaking more”.

Is there anything you’d like to say in response to any of that? Additionally, have you played for a significant amount of time on any SS13 server or another SS14 server since your ban here?

i dont recall saying anything homophobic but i maybe made a few furry jokes to annoy them sometimes. I also played a significant amount of SS13 before and after i was banned here (hippystation kiwistation and many MRP servers) and went on unity station from time to time just to see the new funny way to destroy the station. Regarding the OOC log that was probably when the test first came out and no one had any idea what was going on.

I mean to me that was a joke to piss them off more and the “homophobic” parts weren’t used in a homophobic context but more a random swear word to annoy them. Don’t know what else to tell you man but i didn’t like that community so i tried to get under their skin and it worked. I still don’t see why i should be banned here because of what happened in that community and it has been years.

The admin team has decided that this ban will be permanent and cannot be appealed.

No admins who participated in the discussion felt the ban should be removed, rather the only disagreement was about whether to require a voucher of good behavior or to not allow the ban to be appealed. Participating admins pointed to the fact that you deliberately took actions to bother people and a community, and the nature of those actions. Additionally, some admins pointed to what appeared to be a lack of understanding of the impact your actions at unitystation may have had, or a disregard for that impact.

To address your question of why you were banned here for something you did at another community:
While rare, we occasionally ban people from our server or community who were banned from another, even if they didn’t do anything on our servers or within our community to justify a ban. These bans are often called “mirror bans”, and are usually placed when we feel there is a substantial risk of the person causing harm to our servers, players, or community.
