The ban is fair, but I would like a second chance or reduction
Vote Opt-Out: false
Events leading to the ban
I will address the flagged messages, grouped into 4 events, discussed in a personal message that led to this ban. Forgive me if my memory is a bit rusty, this was a while ago and the messages are a bit hard to view.
In the first group of flagged messages, I was playing with friends when a group of raiders had broken into the medbay and murdered most of the people there. A few people I knew expressed their frustration at these raiders, myself included. Shortly after an admin had dealt with the raiders, my friends were revived but had not retaken control of their characters yet. I informed them that an admin had revived them, which is the major rule breach in this event as I was not communicating in game.
In the second group of flagged messages, I thought myself to be the last non-rev remaining. Relaxed, I messaged my friends and told them if that if they were dead, to come spectate me and see where I was hiding. Shortly after, a maxcap had gone off near my location, which me and my friends proceeded to discuss in discord. These messages are a major rule break of the metacommunications rule, as discussing through methods that are not in-game are strictly prohibited.
In the 3rd group of flagged messages, I believe me and a friend were spectating a nukeops round. We discussed if the commander was going to find their ship, and when he did, I communicated that in the discord. This is another major rule break of the metacommunications rule because other people in the discord who may have been playing could see these messages.
The last group of flagged messages contains me asking for current round information. I had previously been spectating a nukeops round but had to leave for dinner. Shortly after I had left, I asked how the round was going and whether the nukeops had hit yet. This is a major rule break of the metacommunications rule, as I had asked for current round information.
Reason the ban should be removed
I have reflected on and understand why these are major rule breaks of the metacommunication rule and I promise to not metacommunicate, as I have taken the necessary steps to ensure that I will not break the metacommunication rule again. I would definitely like to come back and enjoy the chaos that the Lizard server is, whenever that may be.
