Like what, I’m new to SS14 (Obviously) and i, don’t know what to do about this, or how to ask for admin help or anything. Is this intentional? Can someone point me in the right direction for help please and thank you
There are four Wizard’s den servers.
All new players have to play on Lizard for at least 2 hours before you can play on Leviathan or Vulture.
The fourth server, Salamander, is for whitelisted players only.
All this is to impede raiding (joining the game to cause problems) by smurfing (banned players making new accounts).
Welcome to SS14! While you’re getting the lay of the land, you may want to keep to the Lizard server. Read the wiki and join the discord to learn more.

I remember reading somewhere that if an admin is on a server, the 2hr bar is lifted. I’m not sure if this is accurate.
A little difficult to get into Lizard otherwise, it’s at constant max capacity at any hour of the day.

Tldr: Lizard does not have restrictions, after 2 hours of playtime the restriction is lifted or if an admin is active on the server.
Due to issues with raider accounts (people creating new account just to join to say slurs/just join to break the rules and cause mayham) we sadly don’t have a choice but to block all new players from servers other then lizard by default.
I understand you don’t want to cause any trouble but we currently don’t have a way to detect who is a legit new player and who is someone just wanting to be an ass.
By default, lizard will let you in always no matter what. If you are on discord a suggested idea is to get the notification role for new rounds where players usually leave before the new round. Once you have 2 hours to your name in playtime (and 24h since you first joined the server) this restrictions is lifted and you can join all wizard den servers.
You can also join a server if an admin is currently on it, which removes the restriction at that time. There sadly is not easy way currently to tell this apart then just joining.
I do understand the frustration on all this and I agree the current new player expirience is bad. We sadly though have no choice, admins are volunteers so they can’t be on 24/7 and there comes a point where a problem needs harsh solutions.
