Events leading to the ban
I was playing med intern walking with a salv to the bar and i get a message saying my name isnt realistic another, i say i think its realistic considering theres people with the name ‘the young man’ and ‘peak of evelotion’ and i say ive been spoken to before and they left it and then he banned me
Hello, sorry to get to you this late however I will evaluate your claims and determine whether the ban should be removed from your record.
The name in question that you had at the time was “Wizard Beatle”.
First of all you claim that others have similarly unrealistic names:
“The young man” this is just a placeholder name the game puts on people when you do not know their identity. Say whenever someone is masked and has no id visible, they will appear in a format similar to this. If anyone was actually using this name for their character then it would be against our rules and would result in them being asked to change it once noticed.
“peak of evelotion” this appears to be a diona name. All races have their own naming conventions which allow them to deviate from what we would normally expect a name of a human to be. This name matches the conventions listed in our naming rules. You can find the naming rules in game, or here if you would like to see them on your browser.
Now for the issue that specifically led to your ban, saying that the name “Wizard Beatle” is a reasonable human name. I cannot believe that a reasonable person could arrive at such a conclusion. Additionally once an admin has made an interpretation of the rules in game, their interpretation is final. They may only be contested on a complaint or an appeal such as in this case. Continuing to argue after being warned by an admin to stop is grounds for a ban.
For the above reasons I believe the ban is valid and will remain on your record.
It should be noted that if you are found in game with the same name it may result in a longer, or even indefinite ban should you refuse to listen to admin instructions to change it.
