A long-time lover of the stars and space travel, Mattimeo is a young, inexperienced man with a wide-eyed and innocent view of the galaxy. While his general ignorance of the world is a primary driver for the way he carries himself around the station, he is not exactly naïve. Rather, it is his idealism that drives his innocence. He has basic training in performing engineering tasks, and is generally interested in trying to make the galaxy a better place for everyone, and often likes to imagine himself a bit of a hero.
