Events leading to the ban

I admit that on that round I was playing as a “greytider” passenger.

During this round a person who was RPing as a senile grandmother approached me by happenstance and asked me if I was HoP. As RP, I said yes. She went into a story about how CMO was extremely rude to them this shift (And to others) and needed to be demoted. (She thinks HoP can demote CMO.)

I decided that it would be a funny RP to perform a citizen’s demotion, stun batoning CMO, taking their PDA+ID, and holding onto it until I get caught. (Probably not very long.)

That is exactly what what I did and what ended up happening.

I was caught within like 5 seconds. After I was caught, CMO poisoned me, possibly beyond the point of revival. (A ghost spectator voiced this in Deadchat to me.) Later turned out it was not RR and I was revived.

When I got the PDA+ID I tried to stash it in an unpowered Disposal Bin while I was being arrested. So the PDA+ID items are the only High-Value Items discussed.

Reason the ban should be removed

Yes, I admit this is self-antagging, though all I did was stun+steal from a rude player. I point out I didn’t lethal anyone. Yes I did “greytide” (break into unwatched sec) to get stun baton and cuffs.

What I would like the following to be removed from my ban reason:

• Lying in Ahelp
• Attempted to blame it on another player and lied about their reasons

I deny those claims. I was trying to be cooperative in Admin Chat. Maybe my wording was vague, but I genuinely did not know why I was being questioned.

I knew that a ghost saw CMO poison me and, at the time, assumed they assumed it was RR. (It wasn’t). So I did not know if I was reported as being the victim or or as the aggressor.

When I understood why I was being messaged, I tried my best to explain it genuinely. I was not lying. Demonstrated here in Replay:

Yes I admit I went too far, but I did not lie nor did I try to blame anyone. (It was 100% my plan.)

So from what I am understanding of this appeal, You are looking to have the Lying in Ahelp and Blaming on another person removed from the ban reason.

After doing an independant deep dive of the round, Through replays and logs and the relevant Ahelp, I have come to the following conclusions:

1. You did, infact lie. Here is where.
   
   I went through the logs of the other person in question, and they at no point said to demote the HoP.

2. You did infact, infer another player as the culprit. Same line infact in the Ahelp.

So in summary, All the things you said you did not do, You infact did.

Final Verdict. The ban will remain unaltered. It was well founded and correct. In parting, Please be aware, when we ban people, We ensure we have the facts. Granted, We are not perfect, However in this case, It was easy to see.
