Atmosian, get called to chapel maints due to a spacing. run into chaplain who tells me a guy hes dragging is a syndie before he goes into crit, grab the syndie’s bag, yes he is, take the viper and the c4 he had. toss chaplain to another guy who probly dragged him to med, no idea. haul syndie guy to sec, walk in, shoot windows out with a viper to prove it and blow the viper ammo (i do not trust sec to not use the damned thing). Notice their medical area has several rotting corpses, and i am on the verge of starving. Gather the bodies into a pile and use the c4 on them to try and gib them, have to shove the warden back as he tries to walk into it for some reason. gibbing fails, end up damaging a wall, then get arrested, while in brig, bwoink, into discussion over why i probly shouldnt have done that, into ban.
Unban reason
Was what I did stupid? Probly. Should I have done it? probly not. Is it actually self antagonism? I wouldnt say it is.
Copy paste of the self antag rule from the wiki
Intentionally making yourself a major problem/annoyance/disruption for the crew or other players at large while not an antagonist is forbidden (referred to as “self-antagging”). Much of the behavior in this rule is an in-character issue that Security should deal with appropriately, but it becomes self-antagonism when it begins to degrade the station at large or cause a significant issue, or is simply done for no purpose other than to be annoying.
So, does this cross the line into self antagonism? I would say no
It didnt degrade the station at large, as it didnt even space anything, expose security weakpoints, or injure anyone.
It is not a significant issue, as it, again, didnt break anyone, and security spent like 1 minute detaining me, since i didnt resist at all
It wasnt done for no purpose, I was hungry.
What i expected to happen was:
Detonate bodies, they get gibbed, I eat organs while getting cuffed, spend time in jail, offer to fix the minor wall damage, leave.
By the standards of the rule, I didnt expect any admin intervention to be required at all, since litterally nothing about the round changed as a result of me blowing the c4. I expected at the least a slap on the wrist or a finger wag, not actual action. I dont blame the admin for the ban though, since apparently this is a ‘repeated problem’. Besides the chem blowing up as a kobold, which i successfully appealed, and a very old one for protesting in med since cap didnt wanna assign a CMO, I have no idea where this repeated problem bit comes from.
TLDR: What I did doesnt meet the standard to of the self antag rule, and I have no idea where this ‘repeated problem’ comes from
