AI slight rework concept

During nukies I feel AIs usually get the shortest end of the stick unless of they are able to accurately call out which way they are flung and salvage doesnt completely fumble regaining them or get antimov’d.
Either way I personally feel the AI should be able to read its coordinates at all times.
Its mostly just so the AI player doesnt get shafted atleast 90% of the time, then again though I mostly play Lizard, maybe Mander AIs gets found way more often.

Maybe also some core defense that work on anyone except for command and sec also if they could maybe have Like a drone or something that only they can control so they can like help engi repair stuff and other things so that have more game play and rp potential

In SS13 AI have turrets they control. It`s on a list of thing to develop

Once disconnected, they cannot be reconnected. So they get the short end regardless.
But as a main AI player i feel it is fine. AI is VERY powerful overall, and the maneuver required to disconnect it from the station is only worth it on a few maps usually (so it is a mapping issue if anything).

I sometimes ask engi to reinforce the walkway a bit when they have time on the more problematic maps. But its kind threading into meta territory.

If antags breach your core then that’s just how the game goes. It is like being HoP and complaining that a syndie blew up your front desk. That’s just the game.

You start and STAY surrounded by layers of reinforced walls all shift. That is more than any other crew member could ask for.

Only thing i miss as ai is being able to warp to player that is in view of my cameras by pressing their health monitor name if their coordinates are ON(and only when those two things = True).

P.S. I play AI as would in 13, i dont chase antag(unless asked by sec), answer request of the crew and help crew. Unless i have paladin lawset, which means you will be shocked, locked down, identified on all comms and loose your air privilege.(if you are a criminal scum that is)

My favorite is still corporate board. We will CUT corners everywhere and increase those damn proffits.(but i will aHelp this 1st, always. You need CC for this one)
Someone put request for pizza? Not on my watch
Security want to use kinetics? BULLETS ARE EXPANSIVE, USE LASERS!
Bar running out alcohol? WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE THIS, bartender should to to botany.
Tiders being unproductive and damaging to station? Perma for everyone of them and make them grow stuff
You should all be like Cargo and Atmos, Look at them making stacks.
Food break? You can eat while you WORK, chef deliver those meals

I think the AI can be reconnected actually. Had a nukie round recently where we mini bombed the AI and tossed it into space.

When we went to further assault the station, we found doors being bolted in front of us and behind us. At first I thought it was someone using their remote really smartly, but it was across the whole station.

Turns out the Salvagers found the AI and brought it back to Cargo. From there it was able to work the way it normally does somehow.

If they bring back the block that is AI onto station floor. It could cause that(since entity is now on a station floor).

Prob unintended interaction, but a funny one

It requires the floor under the AI to be destroyed as to unanchor it, without the monitor itself being destroyed, which requires explosives.

yeah I remember doing this during a revolution round. some headrev engie cut the AI off and we spend like 30 minutes trying to unanchor and unbolt the AI. eventually we gave up and went “welder bomb the AI” and it worked so we just dragged them to bridge.
