To prefix this, I have ADHD, and I find it hard to concentrate on things going on around me in day to day life.
When I play SS14, I find it hard to process all the information in the text box while also trying to pay attention to the main screen. This keeps me from playing more complex jobs requiring constant attention, such as security or radio-focused roles.
My main question is: are there any tips that may be helpful to better concentrate on my surroundings in game.
I’m sorry if this is a long-winded post. I just finished my college course, where I had to write a bunch of paperwork, and I’m in a flow state.
I have not gotten diagnosed or anything. But i assume i don’t have that, and i also find it stressful.
Thing is: it is fine if you don’t do your job perfectly. Focus on what is the most pressing for what you want to do NOW and ignore the rest. If you fail to do everything then that’s just… like life in general, really.
You are chasing a suspect? Forget about radio and other suspects you see. You jailing a suspect, ignore anyone but HoS or Warden. You are talking with someone, tell others to wait or simply ignore them.
Always remember: it is just a game without even rewards for “winning” or any win conditions to speak off. It does not matter
But again, even with these “tricks” i still can only take 1 or 2 shifts of sec per day.
