Scarlet Firewood is a janitor who has been through hell and back. Her body is covered in burns, which she claims come from an accident that happened when she was smoking (a habit she still hasn’t quit to this day), but for those who dig deeper learn is due to having ties with small, disorganized criminal gangs around 20 years ago. Now that she’s in her 40s, she’s left that life behind, and just strives to be a good, reliable janitor who cleans the station and helps out when she can. From her perspective, she’s practically a walking corpse, while everyone else still has a chance at life–so she’d rather let herself die than anyone else, if she had the choice. Despite her background as a once-criminal, she also has a large amount of respect for security; she’s one of the first to tell others to “knock it off” when security’s being given a lot of flak, assuming that she thinks it’s undeserved.
