Do you have any SS14 experience outside of Wizard’s Den servers, or any SS13 experience? I played a tiny bit of SS13, I mainly played as the genetics role, but I had to stop because I had over 8000 ping constantly. Eventually I found SS14 and now the ping works fine

Have you ever been banned from any SS14 or SS13 servers? I don’t think so
What are you primarily interested in doing as an admin? Preventing self antag, and making sure no one is ruining the experience for others. I would also try my best to help those who use Ahelp, as long as it doesn’t involve effecting others negatively
What are you least interested in doing as an admin? I’m probably gonna struggle with banning people because when I do something like that a get really paranoid that I did it wrong, kinda like they didn’t deserve to be banned

What role do you think game admins serve on our servers?
I think they enforce the rules and make sure everyone is having a good time playing. They also help people that don’t know what to do, and occasionally do an event that entertains everyone
Why do you want to become an administrator for SS14?
I feel like I could make the game more enjoyable by assisting people and stopping people from breaking the rules because people who break the rules can ruin the game for others
How do you feel about the current roleplay status on the servers?
I enjoy it but I think some people don’t take it seriously enough and metagame to much
Other than banning problematic players, what admin actions do you believe have the biggest positive impact?
I think the fun events can make someone’s day, and assisting new players will make them enjoy the experience, making them want to keep playing and tell their friends which can be useful because it increases the player base. A higher player base means there will be less servers that don’t get enough players
Have you ever had a negative experience in the game or with a game admin? If so what, if anything, would you do to prevent other players from experiencing this?
My biggest problem has been self antags ruining the fun for everyone, I would help reduce this by warning self antags and banning the ones that keep repeating what they have been told not to do
Have you ever had a good experience with the game or a game admin? If so, what was it?
I have had tons of fun playing the game and the admins have been amazing! The events the admins do can make a shift very fun and it feels like something fresh and new. Admins have helped me alot when I’ve not known something and they have been very friendly, and I hope I can give the same help to others!
Scenario Questions
Scenario 1
It is the start of the round. There are 60 players on the server. The game mode is traitors, traitors have not been selected yet. There are three players who decided to observe the round instead of join it orbiting you. Two of them are encouraging you to “do something funny”.
I would not do anything major unless I had permission from a head admin or an event is allowed, I could possibly make some mice or some non antag creatures if there are absolutely no ghost roles left. If someone chose to observe they shouldn’t expect to be able to cause something big like that
Scenario 2
This scenario takes place on LRP. The Head of Security has decided to coup the Captain. The Head of Personnel agrees with the Head of Security and has taken up arms in case it is necessary to aid in effecting the arrest of the Captain. The Captain is hiding with the Quartermaster in the cargo shuttle to avoid the Clown who has stolen the captains saber as a non-antag. There are five people named in this scenario. Please describe what actions, if any, you would take in relation to each, and why.
They clown would be told off for having that as a non antag, unless the captain was attacking them with it purely because they are the clown. Because i feel like if someone was beating you with a weapon purely because of your job, you as-well would defend yourself if it got too far. And with the coup thing, unless the captain is acting like an antag and destroying the ship without reason they should have no reason to do something like that
Scenario 3
You are ahelping a player about an issue. The player has no prior noted issues. A few days earlier, an admin had told you that this type of situation should result in a temporary ban for a first offense, and you are confident that this situation is not substantially different from the type that admin was describing. During the ahelp, another admin pings you on Discord with a link to the ongoing ahelp and tells you to just indefinitely ban them and make them appeal. Excluding trialmins and headmins, all admins are equally “ranked”. A headmin is not currently available.
I would punish the offender according to the rules or delay a punishment until a headmin is available(only if I know they will be available soon), and I would warn them about it and tell them if they cause another issue I will ban them and have them appeal. If there is absolutely no headmin available soon I would do what I think is necessary
