Character Description
Matt grew up in the slums of a big city on Mars. Barely making it through school, he always had an aptitude to play with technology. Just enough to not get himself killed.
After accidentally causing an electrical spike to the local grid resulting in an outage (he was trying to tap into the landlord’s high bandwidth HoloVision feed) he scarpered onto a ship headed to space.
Two sleeps later he was discovered in the cargo hold amongst a pile of sunflower seed and strange jerky wrappers. The ship’s first office forced him to work, so he started by cleaning the hold.
Eventually he made it onto a station, and while he routinely picked up trash and mopped the floors, he dreamed of becoming an engineer. An engineer who can help keep the lights on, ironically.
After many, many trash bags and countless mops, he finally received his ‘Tuesday Night Electrical Engineering’ certificate from NT. Who knows what Matt will do now?
