Character Description
Nyx Stargazer is a 20-year-old Moth, born and raised on a small asteroid colony. Growing up, she always had an interest in engineering, and spent much of her childhood absorbing as much knowledge as she could about the various machines keeping the colony running- Knowledge that would be put to test when the colony was swept by a zombie outbreak, which she survived only by an irreproducible miracle, managing to fight off the virus at the cost of permanent degradation of her nervous system leaving her numb to all physical sensation. News of the outbreak quickly spread to nearby authorities, and the colony was declared a lost cause and quarantined. Thanks to her engineering prowess, Nyx was able to keep the colony’s life support systems operating at a minimum capacity. After several years of paranoid isolation (leaving her emotionally stunted and prone to auditory hallucinations), Nyx was discovered by a Nanotrasen salvage operation, and shortly thereafter hired as a station engineer.
