Do meteors target people?

there have been too many (5) times ive been out in space as an antagonist and been hit by (INVISIBLE) meteors and killed instantly. do the meteors actually target people?? and why are they fucking invisible. seriously ive been just blown up by a 3x3 square explosion in the center of it suddenly, no other meteors in the vicinity and no warning other than the announcement (which i didnt hear or read, admittedly) , other times its been a cascade of meteors but one always hits dead on, even if im floating in space. is this intentional? if so, why? and why are they invisible?

I checked just to be sure and meteors do not target anything, they fly towards the station from a single random angle. You don’t see them because it’s dark in space. Without illumination, a meteor is black and blends with the cosmos behind it. I think you were just unlucky. Try listening to announcements and avoiding EVA during meteor showers :cat:

Definitely my friend got hit multiple times to

can we tell the meteors to avoid showering when people are EVA, bcoz they shouldnt do that.

is this supposed to be a pun on showering or do you actually think meteors shouldn’t occur any time someone is EVA?

Now I wonder if they can occur during Nuke ops, that would be the one time I feel they should at least launch from the opposite side of the station.

I think meteors (might) either target certain spots like coms, eva etc , target random spots on the station, and have a chance to hit people. The odds of smoke getting hit multiple times on a massive station are low so are the odds of meteors hitting Eva as Eva isn’t that large of an area compared to med and sec which I don’t see get hit often or ever. Or the chance of pepole being directly in the middle of the explosion when meteors hit them decreases the odds even further. It’s probably like the algorithm that decides who gets roles. It likely chooses one of three options hit a player hit a random spot on the ship or hit a vital part. Then chooses what player what locations or what vital part of the ship to hit.

None of this is based off facts and is merely just my speculations or ideas of how it works.
