Events leading to the ban

I was just working through a botany shift with a new character I made (first time playing as him) and as I was mid conversation with someone (nothing inappropriate, we were talking about the chillis I just planted) I was kicked and banned with no warning or notice.

I’m really unsure if its relevant but I did message the admins a few rounds prior because I was stuck in the body of ‘mr.chippy’ while floating through space. I didn’t know how to leave and the conversation ended after they told me how to return to ghost form.

Reason the ban should be removed

While I’m new to playing SS14, I’m not new to the server as its really the only one I play on, I’ve been playing as a different character with 0 issue or warnings. I only got the game on the 10th and I’m careful to read the rules.

This is the first and only account I’ve made so really I’m just confused. If its relevant, I play the game through steam so I’m not even sure of alts are a thing I can do there, I can provide screenshots of playtime if needed.

Its probably heard a lot but I genuinely didn’t do anything and I don’t know who the guy theyre accusing me of being is.

I’ve been thinking about the ban more over the past few days and I think I might know what caused it? Or at least part of it?

A couple of times before joining I’ve forgotten to turn off my VPN (I never actually got on the server with it, it bounces me back and tells me to turn it off) This has only happened maybe twice? But I can understand how that might look from the outside and without context.

I wasn’t sure whether to mention it since I have no clue whether its relevant or not but I’ll add it just in case.
