With this and this merged, we are finally in a position to start distributing work for Game Area Design Documents!
The goal of this work will be to provide documents ensuring we’re all on the same page for how a department, role or game concept should look, making development for contributors smoother and PR reviews more cohesive. These documents are very high-level and should focus on the goals and boundaries of a game area, as opposed to Feature Proposals which go more in-depth on implementation and specific mechanics. A lot of it will be writing down obvious things for how we all understand the game works - the important part is getting it written down.
How to contribute
The process is fairly simple:
If you are a Maintainer who is part of a workgroup (or just passionate about the area), select a topic from the list below and fill in the provided template. The document should be submitted as a docs repo PR under a relevant workgroup header. Feel free to make threads on this forum for comment & critique.
