I did what I was banned for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh

Events leading to the ban

was playing captain and i was calling a criminal a creature and the pronouns “it” to piss them off as they were a known criminal and it was just some jokes bruh

Reason the ban should be removed

come the fuck on its not bigotry nor is it some gender discriminating terms, i didnt insult the person, it was clearly IC bullshit and if the person was truly offended they couldve used looc, this just seems like some poor excuse by some bored sod to ban me

cheers dave, i really dont see this as an issue whatsoever but i understand if the admins and wider community do see this as bad then i should probably stay banned

Hi groovy.

So regarding your ban. The administrative team has elected to upgrade your ban to a voucher only ban.

The reasoning behind this move is as follows:

  1. Though it seems like a harmless and innocuous thing to you, We have players on this server that are very sensitive to these kind of subjects. A lot of people play here because they feel safe and that we are open and accepting of anyone, No matter their orientation or gender. By repeatedly and knowingly misgendering, you are causing them emotional and mental harm.

  2. You had JUST come off of a ban for this exact thing only a week ago. The fact you decided to re-offend again so close to another indefinite ban was another deciding factor in this decision.

This all being said, Here is what is going to happen. You will remain banned. You will require a voucher from another SS14 server in good standing with wizden that has six months of clean, punishment free play time on it. You will need to ensure that the server you choose to play on offers vouchers, As not all do.

I am sorry that it has come to this, Groovy. I know you feel like it meant no harm and that what you were doing was trying to do a “Bit” but the fact of the matter is, Is that we are trying to cultivate a culture here that is free from harassments and free from discrimination. Where players can come and be themselves without fear of being misgendered and mistreated.

This appeal is hereby denied, A voucher ban is now in place and will only be lifted upon a voucher being received. Thank you for your time here at Wizden. With any luck, you will find your time with another server informative and fun. Maybe we will see you back. I wish you the best of luck out there.
