Ban reason : “Using command privilege to supply botany with guns and stolen recharger from bridge when security was trying to raid them. Gunning down a sec during an arrest. This is accompanied by an appeal only role ban for command.”
Events leading to the ban : I was playing Quarter Master normally, supplying the crew, until Atmos came and handed us two canisters worth around 230k in total. After receiving such a sum, I did the most logical thing any Quarter Master could think of - GAMBLING! With an unnecessarily new found wealth of useless garbage, I decided the crew was more in need of it than me. After making a run of the station I saw botany was about to be raided by security and threw them a ‘Retro Laser Pistol’ which to me is an insignificant weapon and is not enough to stop security but add a funny sense of roleplay (Botany some how has a laser gun and attacks security as they raid), I for some reason decided to give botany the charger as well for it from bridge. At no point was I attempted to be arrested but I did see a botanist get arrest and his buddy shoot the officer with the retro pistol.
I do not believe that I deserved to be banned for this amount of time considering I had no real action in what the botanists did with their new toy and would prefer if it was shortened to 3-7 days. Yet again a ban for all command roles is ridiculous to me, I’ve never experienced them before and I’m willing to compromise at a role ban for QM but preferably would like to keep that role too, so I can learn from this ordeal and improve
