Depends on server and their culture.
On MRP EVA will get opened, sec and HoP will drive people, cargo will order a lot of guns(a lot of them). So you just follow command.
Walkie talkie are actually great on MRP
(unless you are medical. Sorry and thank you Medical)
On LRP. Carry crowbar with you at all times.
Remember where nearest lockers are.
Try to remember map of maintenance in case you need to run.
Carry soap or banana peel to place behind yourself as you run.
On evac try to run it with engies to their room(they will RCD themselves in).
Be light so you can run faster.(only 1st basic bag).
