I feel like something people forget a lot, is that NT (at least in SS13) is part of the syndicate, to a point where i wonder if we even should be saying it is anymore. Sure the syndicate is a conglomerate of companies, and NT at least used to be part of them, but with how much NT is targeted, i think they might not be part of the syndicate at this point. especially since the only thing relating to traitor factions is literally labled as flavor text in the code.
-sincerely, Mr. Balls
As far as i’m aware, the syndicate was explicitly formed to break NTs economic dominance over the galaxy, and was always positioned in direct opposition to it.

is your name really testicular man? and did you just sign your post with " Mr. balls"? what has this world come to
NT pretended to be interested in Syndicate. While getting contract with TerraGov for Plasma filled Nebula sector.
Securing that, they dropped all pretend and become Megacorp supported by TerraGov. Seizing Big piece of the pie by putting claims on sector claims by constructing the most garbage and cheaply made Space Stations known to humanity.
P.S. Fan Fact. Telecrystals are Crypto currency developed by Waffle co. to trade with other species. It didnt take off, so it bacome sindie internal black market currency
P.P.S. Also ALL nukies are Gorlex mercenaries hired by one of sindie corps(A lovelly bunch of warcrime enthusiast who are suicidal. Because in their clan culture there is nothing better then glorious death. They are very rare to be used as sleeper agents because of this)

I just happened to play SS13 during forming of old lore and it`s going into new more flash out lore.
Which was created mostly by IC role-play interactions, other people playing into said thing.
I know NT and syndicate lore. Since that is what i played and interacted most with.
I dont know much about Clown federation and Mime society, since i did not play those roles. Do know quite a lot about wizzard federation (because wizzard players love talking a lot and then check if you listen. If you didnt, you become cluwne)
Im not sure how old lore accurate this is but my cannon is that Synicate is secertly ran by NT as a subdivision.
This is why they mind wipe crew to prevent them rememebering previous shifts and don’t inform sec about tech such as chamelon items, which they have tons of now in the deep contraband valuts. If the crew are busy fighting Synicate they wont think about questioning NT directly and they can get rid of unprofitable assets by sending in nukies under the guise of terroists when they are really just there so NT can claim the insurance money and move the station somewhere more profitable..Revs exist where they need to do sketchy things in a station so they can deflect to synicate or when they want to remove command thats too uncorpate for them and Steal objectives exist for training sec to help train to deal with future problems.. All the while they have vast clone banks of all our characters cryogenically frozen in an NT station somewhere just encase we get nuked, or acidified, swallowed by a blackhole ect.. which is how we always come back.

Something similar was one of old, OLD lore directions. I am surprised how close you got to it on your own
Don’t forget what happened on Mars in 2125…
If you pay attention to both the rules and in game mechanics as enviromental world building it makes sense. espically if you are like me and believe in clone valut theory to explian why we can come back from things like blackholes on the next shift. (this is also why my character is friendly to her own double gangers, as she believes there is loads of her on various stations being useful to NT)
