Events leading to the ban

I am a returning player, decided to give SS14 another try. As I am from Russia I have an always-on VPN (Riseup VPN) to be able to talk to my Western friends. Thus I got hit with an automatic ban. I understand why.

Reason the ban should be removed

Many of the sites I use need a VPN to access them, and I would really rather not miss possibly important messages from my friends while playing. I am a long-time player of both SS13 and SS14 and I promise I’m trustworthy.

Also, even if I turn off the VPN before playing and listen to messages on my phone, I would eventually forget to turn it off and end up having to appeal again. So I request an exemption from the VPN thing.

Is there any chance you can use split tunnelling to exempt SS14 from your VPN, or would that cause issues in and of itself?
