Events leading to the ban

I was unaware VPN connections were not allowed on the server. My bad for not reading up on it beforehand.

Reason the ban should be removed

As the message I received upon attempting to join states:
“Failed to connect to server:
Connect denied: You, or another user of this computer or connection, are banned from playing here.
The ban reason is: “You are connecting through a datacenter or VPN. For administrative reasons we do not allow VPN connections to play. This is not a permanent record against your account, turning off your VPN is sufficient. If you have a technical issue and need a VPN to be able to play, you can request an exemption at forum.ss14.io

Attempts to circumvent this ban such as creating a new account will be logged.”

I understand the administrative need for me to not use a VPN connection and I will gladly cooperate by turning off my VPN connection when playing on servers that do not allow it in future.

Datacenter bans aren’t applied to specific accounts, they’re applied to IPs used by things like virtual private networks (VPNs).
