I did what I was banned for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh
Events leading to the ban
Alright, one by one.
Tiders spawn in, we all want tools, and a dude named Steven Stevenson takes everything worth taking from tools. I said “Sorry mate, but I’m gonna need those” and after he doesn’t respond I begin to beat him with a crowbar. I am careful enough so that I don’t crit him, and let him flush himself down disposals to escape.
Shortly after, I’m off on my own looting maints and chilling, security eventually bring me in for questioning after I am chilling near HOP. I get in, I explain, they agree and let me go, because this is just silly, “crying to security because you got robusted, really?” as they put it.
Soon I find him outside, and since I didn’t crit him then, I know it will come off as immature but I wanna get a last hit, since he did just snitch on me. I had just gotten a spear from a paramedic like nothing ago, I stab the man until he is crit, I give the spear back and being to drag him to medical until a borg comes and does it for me.
It is worth to note I didn’t take anything from him, as I felt that critting him and then looting him was too much.
After I make sure he makes it to medical, I begin to get arrested, and I do, they drag me in for questioning when zeno-borgs are announced, I tell them that I can help fight, as I don’t want to be in a cell for “2 minutes” as security was aware why I had done what I had done.
Shortly after that, I recieve an admin message.
“Sooo, what was that, why did you attack them.”
I reply, quite crudely honestly but I wasn’t having it.
“Because they are fat and a loot goblin and took everything from tools.”
I meant fat, as in, “they got their grubby little hands on everything that was useful in tools” but the admin thought I meant it as the person playing them was fat.
Either way, admin by taking it literally takes it badly, says “Um… no.” and without another word bans me.
Reason the ban should be removed
Because not only is excessive, if we take to account everything that happened, as after all it is at best over escalation, and not even the horrid kind, as tiders beat each other senseless all the time in my humble knowledge.
But it is also because the admin didn’t understand what I meant, which is my bad in all due honestly, but did affect how the ban was handleded.
All in all it was a messy situation, one I will take responsibility for as it was my fault for miscommunicating what I meant, but with all that said I do think the ban was harsher than it should’ve been, a one day ban would’ve sufficed.
I hope you don’t read this appeal with a tone of superiority, as I know text doesn’t translate into meaning very well, but I mean all this as truthfully as I can, holding as much respect for both who I beat up, the admin that banned me, and the admin reading this.
