Ban reason: “Antag Rolling. Late joined, walked to library, sat down, then DCed.”
Length of ban: Appeal only
Events leading to the ban: First of all, I want to sincerely apologize for all the trouble that I have caused on the Wizard’s Den servers so far. I have been banned for antag rolling the second time now. My intention was not to antag roll however, as stated in my last appeal. The ban / antag roll happened at around 2:30 AM in my timezone (Germany) if I remember right. I joined, decided to play as a passenger. However I was already feeling kinda tired. You should be able to see that I didn’t instantly disconnect, but rather walked around a bit. Then I decided, that I wouldn’t have the energy necessary to play a whole round as passenger. So without being an antag or a role which has a limited availability, I decided it wouldn’t be much of a problem if I now just sat down somewhere and left.
Reason the ban should be removed: Looking back I can understand very well why I was banned, especially looking back at all my prior bans including another Antag Rolling ban, which I did not appeal because it was only one day in length. As already said above, I want to apologize for all the trouble I keep causing. However I think, accidental or unaccidental antag rolling, I have been banned for 4 weeks now. In my opinion this is enough time to think about my actions in either case. The fact that I never attempted to ban evade and that I keep appealing should also show that I really intend on trying not to break any rules anymore. So with all this, I would like to apologize and I hope that my ban will be lifted soon.
This has been put to an admin discussion and vote of which we have come to the consensus to reduce the ban from indefinite to 1 week.
The reasons provided in the discussion for this decision were the following:
- Benefit of doubt with caveat of less if observed again.
You have a noted history of antag rolling and if you are observed doing so again we can only make the the logical assumption this is what you are doing and not going to sleep or other activity because you have had a change of heart to play a round.
Appeal accepted. Ban lifting on 2024-01-28
