New game mode: "Everyone sucks here"

I was thinking about the ideal ratio of players to antags per round, and how it could be meta-gamed in some extreme scenarios. Then it hit me.
What if there is an exceedingly rare game mode where most if not everyone that can roll antag, does. And the sheer amount of conflicting objectives leads everyone to just fight each other.

ofc, the antags need to be split into groups that are hostile to each other. And there must be enough antags like that for it to work.
There would also need to be antags that are encouraged to do their job on top of their objectives.

This creates a funny scenario where everyone is there to sabotage the station, but their ways of doing it conflict.

Nukies go against most antag objectives, so everyone has them as targets.
Initial infected are also vs every other faction.
Traitors and other roles would need to, during this round, to get objectives that are guaranteed to conflict with other antags (traitors getting kill objectives on head revs, thieves getting objective on stealing the nuke disk, etc)

Man! this sounds like a Very Bad Day

aah, forgot that one existed.
Still, that one just rolls all antags, it doesn’t increase the amount of rolls nor does anything to prevent team ups for many of them.

The main purpose is to always have the possibility of sec asking “Wait, how many antags are there in this station”. And the answer being “Yes”

Did you play at all during AFD? It was AVBD most rounds. The rounds went something like this.

Nukies declare war to get more TC (this actually wouldn’t happen 100% of the time in what you propose)
Syndies and Revs start trying to do their objectives
Initial infected start turning the crew.
Crew gets mostly infected.
Syndies use their TC just to stay alive
Station has gone to shit
Nukies arrive vastly over prepared and outgun any survivors and remaining zeds
Nuke blows up

Now that being said. I don’t feel like 90% of the time ANY game mode that has zeds and Nukies ends up similar to what I described. Zed ops cost 40tc for a reason! Zombies are too much of a threat to the station that any additional threat is going to just steamroll the rest of the crew.

Good points.
This is why i proposed these mid-rules when compared to avbd. And there is no way i could provide a balanced game mode without proper testing, let alone without a design doc.

There would need to be the right kind of antags that both go against each other’s goals and that don’t overpower the station so much that the rest can’t play.
Altho this is really more of an issue of how poorly designed zeds are.
Not that the same issue would not happen with OTHER antags.

I feel like you could throw in XENOBORGS into the mix and have a fun game mode. Admins ran that one round for AFD and it was a lot of fun.

I kinda love this idea, make it traitors but traitors are in groups, there coms are also partitioned and tell command at round start that we’ve sent you a crew we suspect of lacking NT loyality. mix in like 5 true non-antags (same ratio as antag traitors would be in normal round) who was just inocently suspected and watch the chaos.

all at once (AAO) already exists as a gamemode that rolls every antag at once, but it needs to be set by an admin
