The new overhaul to security clothing feels, in my opinion, like a bad idea. The SS13 replacements feel like an attempt to garner nostalgia, despite looking almost objectively worse. The changes to the HOS outfit is the most egregious, in my opinion. The HOS was styled to look like a cowboy. The mantle is a PONCHO, for Christ’s sake. Changing the hat to a boring cap was a terrible idea, and so was the wardrobe malfunction that was this PR

Judging by Emo’s response to this well-structured criticism, it looks like this is here to stay because “muh planned artstyle” regardless of what anyone actually playing the game thinks.
The new Det coats and HoS Cap are nice options but to put it bluntly a large amount of these sprites feel like a huge downgrade.
The sec jumpsuit feels very flat and uncanny to me now.
The jumpskirt looks very odd as the replacement got rid of the black accent stripe on the skirt.
The badge on the detective vest is neat in concept but really should have been a stand alone item not super glued to the vest.
I’m on the fence about the new Sec Helmets, I think they do generally fit the style of the vest more but do look a bit “off” in a way I cant exactly pin down.
I feel as if effort should have gone to improve the some of the sec clothing more in need of a resprite such as the cadet uniforms instead.
I also cannot express how disappointed I am at the removal of the HoS hat and the Cowboy gear from sec like for real this PR ruined my evening last night.
in my opinion, the reason for downgrading sprites is simply flawed. how can we “temporarily” downgrade the sprites to fit more until better sprites exist for all other departments if we use bad sprites on purpose because the sprite’s too good in comparison? even worse is his reason of the hos gear looking too similar to the syndicate clothes doesn’t even count, since the new cap is extremely similar to the master at arms! so help me god if emo reads this and changes the master at arms instead of his cap-
