It sounds like youâre using LMB on the button bottom right of storage items to open them. Iâd recommend you instead hover of the storage item you want to open (the item itself, not the tiny button) with your mouse and press E to open them.

Well, yes. But will it do anything, to be honest?
Now I think about the storage system and since Iâve managed to get used to it easily. It ainât so bad after all.
While the old system was also cool, I guess this also works too. Youâd have to manage your storage sure, but thatâs pretty much it. At least thatâs what I think,

Correct. Thank you for telling me about this. I donât think I knew this was an option. I knew E on a bag sitting out somewhere could open it. But, I didnât know you could do that from your inventory that way.
Also, I see where there are now two key binds for opening the storage in the backpack and belt slots of the inventory. This also helps the situation.
Because of this advice and this addition; I have returned to playing the game. I had previously left playing due to the absolute nightmare it was when I thought I had to keep using the very little buttons to open my backpack and belt with my mouse. The constant switching, and me not thinking I had any better way than this to switch, made playing impossible. Now playing is possible again. Also, I do now consider this my favorite game again.
That said, I do still think the fallowing is correct.

I think I might have inadvertently muddled the issue when I used the word ânested.â I see why the devs want to stop people from nesting items in a storage, in a storage, in a storage, etc. That I understand. But, I do still think âbelt slotâ and âbackpack slotâ should be simulatantniously displayed and accessible. If I am not mistaken, it sounds like we agree on this.
If the goal is to streamline the interface and prevent more than one inventory window from being open at once at all; then perhaps we should still consider my suggestion from earlier of a blended inventory for the âbelt slotâ and âbackpack slot.â
Basically, the idea would be that the singular inventory window that the player would be allowed to open would hot swapablly expand visually if there is a belt and backpack both in the inventory slots at the same time to display the additional storage slots. This would make all that inventory (the belt slot and the backpack slot) both visible and readily accessible while also making sure no additional storage containers would be openable at the same time to prevent the nesting problem that has been described. A visual horizontal bar could pop in when this is activated to show people a line between the items in their backpack and the items in their belt.
I do not know how to program, and as such can only suggest this and unfortunately am unable to help make it.
I apologize for calling the developers and or programmers âpoo brainâ and asking âIf they had the brain worms.â This was before I knew these bags could be opened with the E key and I think it was also before the key binds were added.
I think that I will return to donating to the game. But, this might take a little while as I am currently waiting on a new credit card to come in the mail.

Itâs not really BARELY functional. Itâs probably gonna take some time to get used to, but once you do. It ainât so bad. I get to store some things I was never able to store before like the last inventory update.
