New Syndicate Objective: Protect Syndicate from Assassin

With the whole recent drama with Wizden, I’ve been trying other servers and tried Goob with the new med stuff… which ended up being for only combat but that’s not important. In one of the shifts I played, I got syndicated and had the objective of protecting someone who had a kill target on them. The person I had to protect happened to not be a syndicate, but I think a different turn on it could be cool for Wizden. Maybe if a syndicate has a kill target on another syndicate, a third can roll with a keep-alive objective that informs them that there is an assassin after their keep-alive target.

An objective that functions like this will encourage more syndicate corporations throughout the shift while also reducing the instant trust between syndicates. More often than not if a group of syndicates finds another syndicate they instantly trust each other and team up to form a stronger force. If one of the members of the group knows that there is an assassin going after their keep alive objective they would be much less trusting of new syndicate members.

While I like the idea, I just don’t think it should be Syndies on Syndies, Now when you mentioned an a Assassin, my first thought was ninja, so what if the Spider Clan [The Ninja Clan] would sometimes send out Assassin’s that had to murder random people or they would have to murder a crewmember, a command member and a syndicate, or something along the lines of this. This function is similar to the heretic or another one of goobs antags, where they are tasked with killing member’s of departments and command instead of just randoms.
The Assassin would be a round start antag, unlike the ninja, and he could maybe even get his own shittle or something

“Assassins” as syndicates with objectives to kill other syndicates on round-start already exist in WIzDen servers. Thou it isn’t precisely as cool as your suggestion it does already exist. Sometimes syndicate assassin objectives roll to assassinate syndicate assassins as well, and on occasion, traitors do get randomly rolled to protect other assassin traitor targets thou it doesn’t tell either party they are an assassination target.
