Events leading to the ban

I was messing around with the doors in TEG after a stressful start to the shift of helping get power to the station with only two engineers.

Things were finally running smoothly so I was relaxing and decided to drink IRL. That was the biggest mistake.

I got out of my head too quickly and while I was messing with the TEG chamber doors without ever planning to hurt anyone, I saw that meteors had hit atmos and someone was dying in there. I called help and went to try and fix the TEG doors but by then I was too tipsy to control things right.

Everything spiraled out of control from there. I saw someone in maints trying to get in and tried to lock that door but opened it by accident. A borg was trying to come in to help fix things and I opened a door for them unthinkingly, which sent gas into atrium.

When I was questioned, I didn’t want to be banned for being drunk while playing AI. So I lied. I know I shouldn’t have now and it was stupid but, I was drunk.

Reason the ban should be removed

I swear that this will never happen again. Not the drinking while playing, not the messing with doors as AI, nothing of the sort.

If anything like this does occur again, permaban me, I’d deserve it.

I’ve made alot of memories and friends over SS14 playing in the main servers, having fun. I hate to lose that because I decided to get drunk during a game.

I was an idiot and I know better now. I am honestly and truly sorry for messing up.

I never meant for things to end up like they did. It was why in the game right after I put TEG on lockdown immediately after it was set up.

Also, I did try to log into an SS14 server on my alt, that was a mistaken misclick. I made a second account to play on Starlight.

Why would you need a second account to play on Starlight?

At the time I was thinking I’d make different accounts for different servers but I eventually decided against it; too attached to this username. And then I forgot my password on my normal account and had to do a password change to get back on.

Honestly, I am a disaster of a person when it comes to my thought processes. I’m trying to be better.

I wanted to say again I’m sorry for what happened. The more I remember of it the worse I feel for getting that drunk.

You created this alt account two minutes before trying to connect to our server. Which, if you misclicked and wanted to go to Starlight, sure, that could happen.

But what happened was you tried connecting to leviathan on your alt, and then about ~10 minutes later, you tried connecting to lizard on your main account. This timing doesn’t line up with trying to play on Starlight.

It’s just too suspicious. I genuinely wish you’d just come clean in the ahelps - you might have caught an AI roleban or something, but your good appeal is tarnished by this whole alt account thing. For this reason, the admin team has decided to upgrade this ban to a voucher ban. You may appeal your ban, but only at least 6 months from now, and only with a voucher of good behavior from another SS13/SS14 server.

A voucher of good behavior should be obtained from a well-known or decently active SS13/SS14 server. If it is a mainstream server, we recommend using that server’s admin-help to ask for a voucher from one of the administrators explaining that you are trying to appeal a ban on SS14’s Wizard’s Den and want to show you have been a problem-free player during your playtime on the server. A voucher should be indicative of at least a few months of play.
