I’m not familiar at all the the idea of Kelvin units of measurement. And I would like to humbly ask that there be an option to change the UI discription of Kelvin to Fahrenheit.
Kelvin is needed for chemistry and atmos math. It is important, because in Kelvin the lowest possible temperature is simply 0. Most interfaces currently show both °Celsius and Kelvin. However, switching between °Celsius and °Fahrenheit would indeed be an useful accessibility option for the game.
I appreciate you begrudgingly agreeing with my suggestion. Besides the real-world implications of using those specific measurements, I do indeed feel that it would improve the overall user experience by implementing the use of Fahrenheit.
In a future where humanity is able to maintain large space stations and is capalbe of FTL travel, I would think we would have moved beyond using Fahrenheit as a temperature scale.
If you need some reference for using Celsius, 0 C is freezing, 20 C is room temperature, 37 C is internal body temperature, proteins (ergo, your body) begin to breakdown between 40 and 50 C, water boils at 100 C.
To convert from C to K, just add 278. 0 C is 278 K, room temperture is 298 K, etc
Sure, I can understand that. But we’re not talking about the real life future, we’re talking about a game. So I think it would be very convenient for the rest of us who aren’t familiar with those other measurements.
