Ban reason: Self Antagging Second Offense
Length of ban: 3 Days
Events leading to the ban: I was on box station as a passenger, grabbed the normal tools on the spawn, unanchored and flipped the disposal pipe below tool room and entered disposals, ended up on bridge and decided to pull up a prank on cap, so I unanchored a computer and anchored it in front of the door of cap’s office, cap broke the computer and killed me. Recieved a Boink shortly after saying that they have to ban me for reincidence of self antagging.
Reason the ban should be removed: Firstly, sorry for the inconvenciences and my actions leading up to the ban, if an admin is getting involved regardless of it I wasnt doing something that would be considered a rulebreak I consider it to be that im doing something wrong. But I consider this ban too severe for “Self-Antagging”, which is being a major annoyance to the crew, my reasons being: Cap wasnt trapped, Box station’s cap office has 4 doors, 3 of which he could’ve used to just circle and get to bridge. Secondly, rerouting the disposal pipe like I did can get you anywhere, not just bridge, I just was lucky and ended up on bridge on first try. Thirdly, this was an issue that could’ve been roleplayed by sec and cap, just getting me onto prison without being much of an annoyance to them as it was start of the round and sec is usually doing nothing at that time. Once again I deeply apologize for the inconveniences and that I have to annoy the Admins with a 3 day ban, but I considered the reasoning of the ban to not be logical to me.
We have decided to accept this appeal and reduce the ban length to one (1) day.
To enable speedy review of all appeals, appeals that meet certain requirements may bypass the standard, often lengthy, review process. Our banning policy requires appeals which are denied using the speedy review process have this notice placed on them. Any of the following criteria typically make an appeal eligible for the speedy review process:
- the ban is temporary and the player indicated on the appeal that they are ok with it being processed without a vote,
- the ban length is less than or equal to 14 days,
- the appeal is older than 7 days, or
- the result of the appeal is obvious.
You may make a staff complaint if you believe this appeal was handled improperly, but should be aware that this will typically only result in a review of the processing of the appeal itself, with the appeal being re-opened if an issue is found. An appeal is considered to have been processed improperly if the criteria to use the speedy review process was not met, or if the facts which the processing admin relied on to process the appeal were incorrect. You must concisely describe why you believe the appeal was handled improperly. If no issue is found with the processing of the appeal, the appeal itself will not be re-reviewed. If, in bad faith, you claim that an appeal was handled improperly, the reviewing head admin may decide to extend the time you must wait before you appeal and/or extend your ban duration.
