Ban reason: unreasonable failure to uphold space law as security. Attempted to arrest someone for having non-contraband, then when questioned explicitly stated they would continue to do so

I did what I was banned for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh
Events leading to the ban
ok I was playing security and it was around 1hour and 30 minutes into the shift. sec gets a bit stressful because of all of the stuff that happens. I hear over radio that someone has nocturine and earlier someone different had used nocturine on cap. I see them, they are a cargo. blah blah blah I arrest them and get them to sec. we have a long discussion in rp and LOOC about how nocturine isnt contraband because the hud does not state so. so I retort “it was before the contraband hud change so I will treat it the same”. I said this because I did not know that the contraband hud was the end all be all. my thought process was “I get it there is a lot of things in the game and some things may slip by, not getting labeled”. so I acted under this presumption. then I get told by an admin that it is not an arrestable offence and to drop the charges. the ward also gets a message from an admin and he lets them go. at this point I will admit I was angry , not because he was let go but because of the round as a whole just make me irratated. they admin explains that nocturine is tecnially illegal under SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) but that SOP was not being used because contraband was introduced machanically and that being the contraband hud. I then relate it to the in game item that you can craft being the Firebomb. in my head I lable the firebomb as contraband because its a bomb, but the admin tells me “If im asked if a firebomb is contra, and it doesn’t have a contra tag on it, im not going to consider it contra. a while back contra was made mechanically”.( i have screenshots of the admin conversation). I then press harder letting my frustration get the better of me and I say “how are you not gonna lable a BOMB as contra”. again I was frustrated. I then say regaurding the firebomb “I dont care what the hud says im arresting for it. there are just some items that are overlooked.” my mentality was that it might have not been marked as contraband, both the firebomb and nocturine. the admin, being very patient with me at this point says that im free to confiscate it within reason and to submit a bug report. I ask if I injected someone with nocturing would that be a crime to which they respond yes. and once more I am showing my frustration by me saying “so I can have all the nocturine I want on me. and I cant get arrested.

at this point another admin takes over probably because I was being a dick. sparlight if you are reading this I am very sorry. I was mad and I shouldnt have taken it out on you. the new admin then reiterates that nocturine is not contra within the current rules. the new admin says “using nocturine to commit a crime would be an arrestable offense, at which point you would be able to act and take it. that does not, however, allow you to ignore space law and arrest someone for having noct.” I retort by saying “to me thats the same logic as “oh you can have this gun but dont use it or thats illegal””. the new admin most likely fed up with me says “your blatant disregard for space law in this case, coupled with stating you intend to ignore it, is going to result in an indefinite role ban from security. you may appeal this on the forms (hi reisama, I am). I see this and I am confused because while I had been hostile I have never gotten banned before or had an offence like this before so I say” im not saying im gonna arrest even if I have been told to, im following that part, I just really really dont understand how it isnt contra.
but ill shut my mouth from now on." to which they respond “you literally said you would arrest someone for holding nocturine moments ago"I dont care what the hud says im arresting for it”". yes I did say that… about the firebomb, I was not talking about the nocturine then. at that point i had understood that I cant do that. they then ban me and I look back through the logs because I didnt think I said that. so I look and I see that I hadnt said that. I respond “so after looking back in the messeges I never said that I would arrest for nocturine after having been told it was not an arrestable offence. I said that about a firebomb.” then the new admin says "your statement still applies to disregaurding space law, which is what your ban is for, again you can appeal on the fourms. you blatantly told the admins you planned on disregarding the rules. and that leads me to now.
Reason the ban should be removed
ill admit. I was a dick, I fucked up, I was too pushy but I feel like I should have been given a warning first before going to a straight up ban, and a perma ban at that. I would appreciate if the ban wasn’t a permanent thing because I don’t feel like this was perma ban worthy. maybe a week ban from sec or a warning idk. I have been playing this game on wizden specifically for about 770 hours at this point 88 of which being security and I have only had 2 warning so far --not relating to sec-- for minor things and those happened 600 hours of in game playtime ago. I can promise this will not become a reoccurring theme
