Revolutionary rounds in lowpop are the worst and most boring rounds in the game and should be removed/replaced

(i may talk a lot here and i am bit tired while writting this, if you want to you can just skip to the tldr for see my reasons for why i made this thread).

Revolutionary rounds in lowop are, putting it in simple terms, the worse round type you can play in ss14. All lowpop rev rounds i have played (and in all scenarios but as headrev) were genuinely extremely boring. Revs have a extremely hard time to even convert people in lowpop because crew in lowpop worry about the life of others a lot and if anything happens or that person changes of behavior they will notice. Even if revs are defeated since there is no way of officially confirm revs lost but from ex-revs the round can stall up to 2 hours. This wouldn’t be so bad if at least events fucking happened in lowpop revs, no meteors, no rods, no critters, hell once i legit saw a single mouse spawn ON THE EXACT PLACE 3 TIMES IN A ROW only for die to spacing moments after instead of getting literally anything else. If you miss all the ship ghost roles and no borgs are made you will have a really hard time to find ghost roles at allow you to play with either objectives or freedom for do whatever you want as crew and for ghosts the game pretty much turns into a waiting simulator until you leave, round ends or you pick any of the minor ghost roles even if it may be a pai on a random corner.

Now lest talk about the few events and ghost roles at can get the round going on a rev round and i will mentioning them in order of how common they are. Is worth mentioning at even the neutral ghost roles don’t spawn until 1 HOUR after the round started usually. This means at crew, sec and/or command are so bored out of their minds they may just try to find any excuse to validhunt you (yes this happened so many times i can even predict people’s behavior on a lowpop rev round) and even round remove you.
Solar flares and apc shut off events are the only events i know at spawn on rev rounds. Maybe other harmless events happen but they have so little impact on the round at they don’t matter.

  • Skelly spawns at least once per round, sadly they don’t do much and can’t do much outside of helping crew if they don’t want to go back to being a ghost.
  • Ratking is the second most common role at can spawn and it doesn’t even spawn 66% of the time. If you played ratking on highpop you can already guess how they are treated here. The worse part is at a ratking is realistically the only ghost role at can make the round entertaining for everyone but this can only be done by robust ratking players.
  • The final non crew ghost role at can spawn is ninja and i swear this one doesn’t even spawn until after the 1:30:00 mark. The worse part is at ninja is THE WORSE ROLE to play in lowpop rev. Not just because lowpop stations are way too small and clearly not made for ninja (or loneop but they don’t even spawn here). Combining this with at the crew haves literally nothing better to do at hunt you down and at ninja can’t spawn the dragon after completing it objective makes what should be the most entertaining role for the entire round only entretaining for the ninja player and those who are hunting them down.

On it current state lowpop rev rounds are just awful, pretty much a greenshift at doesn’t have many important events 75% of the time where often almost nothing happens and lasts 2 hours or until automatic evac is called most of the time. They are genuinely boring for everyone but validhunters, ninja and ratking (unless you find a way of entertaining yourself or play sci/salv, but even that haves it’s limits) and are one of the worse rounds you can play as a ghost which punishes you extremely hard if you get round removed of the round by whatever reason.
I honestly believe rev rounds shouldn’t be a thing in lowpop anymore and i would even rather have rev rounds replaced with survival at playing a single rev round more in lowpop. Please remove revs from lowpop.

TL;DR:
Round drags out way too long (even automatic evac may get recalled). Almost no ghost roles spawn for those who join as ghosts or die, making death extremely punishing. Crew is bored out of they mind which makes validhunting more often. All this also makes almost nothing happen 75% of the round because all the roles at can make the round engaging fear getting killed quickly and no play the game for half hour if not more. extremely boring for almost everyone most of the round. Events are almost non existent. Really few ghost roles spawn and the few non crew ghost roles at can spawn and make the round more engaging don’t do so until after 1 fucking hour into the round if not more. Genuinely the worse round you can play in this game please remove revs from lowpop and/or replace them with something else.
