Ok, so, a while ago I made this Robust Harvest rework PR: Apply robust harvest effect to current plant only and not offspring by PolterTzi · Pull Request #26213 · space-wizards/space-station-14 · GitHub
The gist is: Instead of permanently buffing a plant’s “genetic” potency, it only buffs the potency of the current plant’s produce and not any of its descendants.
As a trade off, it stacks independently with any mutations instead of only going up to 50 total, the yield decrease from overdose is also temporary and it no longer causes the plants to be seedless.
I’m quite confident in the base concept (and, I’d like to note, I do not personally have the power to make it upstream), but understand there are concerns.
So, I’m posting this here as a request for a second round of feedback. Hopefully less heated this time.
