What are you primarily interested in doing as an admin? Upholding the rules and making sure everyone who plays the game has a great experience. Mostly making sure new players we will be getting won’t be met with too much negativity.
I would also like to hold some fun admin events every one in a while, but not often as I don’t want people to be looking or begging for it.
What are you least interested in doing as an admin? If there is something I’m not interested in doing is dealing with the people who think they must always be right, but it comes with the role of being a admin. I may dislike dealing with people like that through ahelps, but I will still do it.

What role do you think game admins serve on our servers?
Making sure a majority of our players have a fun time and punishing people who are trying to push things to a mega extent. I have agreed with how admins have been handling the game and think they are doing a great job of keeping the game fun a lot of the time.
I think the admins are doing a great job upholding it.
Why do you want to become an administrator for SS14?
I want to become a admin to help uphold a good standard of play for all our players. For all our vets and newbies joining us. I want people to be able to enjoy a game I love and tell their friends and be proud of the admin team.
How do you feel about the current roleplay status on the servers?
I feel the roleplay status on Leviathan and Salamander are quite high honestly. I do not know the status on Lizard, and I don’t expect the current status on the newbie servers to be too high as they are new and still learning the game.
Though there are times where I feel the rp could be done better, but some people would rather be winners than build their character up and have people know them. Overall I will say the rp status is pretty good, but at times I wish it could be better.
Other than banning problematic players, what admin actions do you believe have the biggest positive impact?
Other than banning people I think helping out with small issues that each player might have in game, like being stuck in space as the revenant or a certain thing being broke with them. Like a traitor not being able to unlock their uplink, a thief not able to use the toolbox.
Of course also doing admin events if the server agrees and making them pretty fun and unique. I have been apart of some great ones and some simple but fun ones as well!
Have you ever had a negative experience in the game or with a game admin? If so what, if anything, would you do to prevent other players from experiencing this?
I have not personally had any major negative experience other than the times when raiders think they are cool and what not… I would like to stop a majority of them from interfering with the whole round and ruining it for people.
Have you ever had a good experience with the game or a game admin? If so, what was it?
I have had many good times in the game and with the admins. I remember one time being a revenant ghost role that got stuck in space cause of a cargo ship and having no clue where the station was so I asked if I could be teleported or told the direction it was in. And they teleported me even when they didn’t have to. It was such a simple thing, but it stuck with me since and I want the things I do as admin to stick with people like that
Scenario Questions
Scenario 1
It is the start of the round. There are 60 players on the server. The game mode is traitors, traitors have not been selected yet. There are three players who decided to observe the round instead of join it orbiting you. Two of them are encouraging you to “do something funny”.
I would mostly ignore them and continue to observe the round looking for anything I may help with. though I might take them to the admin dev area if they are persistent enough let them play with anything my brain can come up with, mostly so it does not interfere with the current round unless a ghost role they might be into spawns naturally. In which I will tell them that one has.
Scenario 2
This scenario takes place on LRP. The Head of Security has decided to coup the Captain. The Head of Personnel agrees with the Head of Security and has taken up arms in case it is necessary to aid in effecting the arrest of the Captain. The Captain is hiding with the Quartermaster in the cargo shuttle to avoid the Clown who has stolen the captains saber as a non-antag. There are five people named in this scenario. Please describe what actions, if any, you would take in relation to each, and why.
HOS - I would ahelp message them asking what has been going on to warrant this level of happening. Mostly to get their view on why the coup is happening. If the cap happens to be actually that out of line and its not just someone made they didn’t get cap or wants to power trip as hos. I would give them a warning assuming this is the first time they have done something like this and to either not arm up unless its very warranted and try to ahelp the cap if they are causing major issues during the round. For example if Cap was ignoring his duties, freely handing AA to random people, or only to meta-friends. And the rest of command agreed with HOS i would say let the coup happen within reason and not arm up just for the sake of arming. If Captain was found doing nothing HOS would get a roleban for needlessly escalating and a admin remark with a appeal only ban
HOP - I would do the same mostly as i did with HOS, ahelp them and ask why they felt the need to coup with HOS against the cap and what has the captain done to warrant this. If they can also provide that Cap has gone out of line with their duties i would allow the coup to happen but also give the HoP player a warning to not needlessly arm up unless majorly warranted. I would let the coup continue if the cap is in the wrong as its good rp and players holding others accountable. If Captain was found doing nothing wrong HoP would also get a roleban, admin remark, and a appeal only ban for jumping the gun majorly.
Captain - Their code of conduct is the most important in this situation. If they have been misusing their position as head of the station to do whatever they want, giving out free AA, guns, gear, etc. If this was the case and not other command wanting to hold power i would give Cap a warning. Either get back to the station and let this play or get a permnant role ban with appeal from playing Captain for the future and a major admin remark on their profile and a appeal ban. If Cap has not done what they were claimed of I would allow them to still be a captain.
QuarterMaster - Seeing as they are hiding from the self-antagged clown, even if it is with a captain that may or may not be fit to lead. Given they may not know the full scope of the situation, and they are afraid for their life because of the clown which may be a threat or not. They may not know what is going on overall and have no skin in the coup as they are hiding from clown. Nothing would be done to them as they are just fleeing from they perceive as a threat to themselves and captain
Clown - I would ahelp them asking why they have the captain’s Sabre as a non antag and what they plan on doing with it. If they intend to use it for harm in anyway shape or form. If they are planning to use it for harm i would give them a warning on to drop it or give it to command or Security for storing. If they do not they will be given a temp ban for self-antagging. Even if they do give it back to command or sec they would still get a warning and a admin remark on their page for future info. If they try to argue they should keep the sabre I would either temp ban them right away or give them a even harsher punishment if they are combative over breaking the rules.
Scenario 3
You are ahelping a player about an issue. The player has no prior noted issues. A few days earlier, an admin had told you that this type of situation should result in a temporary ban for a first offense, and you are confident that this situation is not substantially different from the type that admin was describing. During the ahelp, another admin pings you on Discord with a link to the ongoing ahelp and tells you to just indefinitely ban them and make them appeal. Excluding trialmins and headmins, all admins are equally “ranked”. A headmin is not currently available.
With the info the first admin told me I would tell the second admin I have received conflicting info, but I will proceed to give the player a temp ban. And later look at it again under more opinions with other admins and a headmin when they become available. Looking to either to keep it as a temp ban or make it a appeal only ban based on everyone’s consensus.
