Hello, I’m coding a PR regarding a security hailer based on the TGstation one from ss13.
What is it ?
It’s a voice integrated in the security gas mask (and the SWAT gas mask for the HOS) that let you “Hail” orders to criminals ! Scare or order them to stop while on the move with this very easy to use Hailer !
In TGstation (and in Goobstation which ported its system), the hailer played different sounds depending on the agression level you put it at ; Low, Medium or High basically.
The higher it got, the more aggressive and more “shitsec” the voicelines sounded. You could even emag it to make it say a “hacked” voiceline.

These are pretty short orders, a lot inspired by classic movies lines (Dredd, Robocop, Dirty Harry, etc.). Nice, but I found some hard to hear (listen to god.ogg and tell me you understand a single word).
What did you do ?
So I changed the audio and the way the voice feels since I didn’t know how they made them. I based them on the combine soldiers from Half Life since it’s fitting (even the death sound on tgstation was a combine’s death).

Why are you bothering us ?
Now, I’m no audio engineer, just followed some tutorials on audacity and wanted some feedback.
First : on the mask effect on the voice.
Second : on the audio of the voiceline. Keep in mind this is A LOT of voicelines that were done just to try it out, but i’m thinking of reducing it to five voicelines per category or something smaller in size in the final PR.
Third : on the sentence itself. Does it sounds cool or corny ? Too long, too short ? etc. I kept most of the TGstation ones in the new format which I would like to keep.
I would like advice and feeback from the audio guys and from players too. Thanks for reading !
