Patience, kindness, integrity. These are the premises that Sienna Firebrush’s childhood mentor, a seasoned engineer, instilled into her. “See the good in others, always”, he taught her when she first told him that she wanted to be Captain. As she entered her career as a stationeer, she believed her virtues were immutable, objective truths about herself.
In her new assignment as a security officer aboard Space Station 14, however, she finds that her resolve is limited. Her patience for thieves runs low quickly, and she has little kindness to spare for the Syndicate agents running rampant. Worst of all, though, are the clowns and tiders who - to their own detriment - throw every security shift into chaos, seemingly without reason. Seriously - she is one more lube bomb away from spacing every clown in sight. If she wants to be a great captain, Sienna must learn to confront her shadows head-on instead of hiding behind the uniform and virtue-signaling mantras that come with it.
