The thought is simple.
Rats can simply crawl under doors.
Spiders can pry them open.
Slimes? Cannot. And often spawn in places where they will never be found nor can they escape.
The simple solution would be to make it where slimes can crawl under doors like rats— squeezing down under the doors.
The more complicated solution would be,
To either allow slimes to crawl under doors at slower speed,
Or to allow them to squeeze under the doors akin to how spiders pry the doors open
