First of all, when you play as a Slime, you have to right click yourself to open your internal storage. Why? Storage Implant has an action you can assign to your hotbar that opens a storage. Why doesn’t Slime storage work like that? We have species specific actions like the Spider web feature, so I don’t see why Slimes can’t get their own.
To add to this, accessing a Slime’s interal storage is unintuitive for everyone else too. It should be on the strip menu, like literally every other item on a person you can interact with. Perhaps Slimes could get an expanded strip menu?
Overall, the storage feature that Slimes get is clunky, and if I want the extra storage, I much prefer to play a Spider with slots I can quickly access on my screen, rather than navigating through right clicking with hoverstates.
tacking a gridinv to the stripmenu doesn’t seem fun. and making the slime storage not a gridinv doesn’t seem fun either. make it a alt-click interaction
I think the cleanest solution is to add a button to the strip menu (where the Spider’s extra pockets would be) that when clicked/E’d will just open the Slime internal storage.
it is on the slimes description that anyone can steal or put stuff in there. and honestly it is neat. I use it to store low-value items. heck sometimes I even store contra in there and watch security forget about it… or I store it in a random slimes pocket
can slimes make a different sound when you hug them? like more of a sloshy gooey sound. (think of the sound kinda like when you finish butchering an animal)
