Honestly not bad of an idea. Jugs hold alot more units also, so it could be a more faster way to make medicine.
What specifically happens to me that keeps being a sticking point is what to do with all the exes chemicals that don’t neatly mix into something.
When making pills from large beakers, after I made all the pills my mixture can make, I just take the large beaker back over to the chem dispenser and flush the extra so that I have a clean beaker for making a batch of different pills. I can do this because I first dump the chem from the large beaker into the mixer’s buffer, then dump it from the mixer’s buffer into making pills. So, like, if I make 9 pills of 10u of Bicar, I have about 10 units of not Bicar left in Large Beaker from mixing Bicar that I can then just flush in the dispenser.
When I try to replicate this process with jugs I don’t know what to do with the excess chemicals being created. I’m using the transfer from Large Beaker to Chem Mixer Buffer as my step to separate the chemical I’m making from the excess. But, sense Large Jugs don’t fit into the Chem Mixer I don’t have a built in separating step in my workflow like I do with pills.
This is why I don’t like it when a CMO or Doctor demands Large Jugs and will typically just ignore them and make pills anyway.
If the CMO won’t let up on this point, I then have to try to make large jugs. This is a complicated and convoluted process that requires me creating a separating step outside of my normal pill workflow. I basically have to poor into large beaker from large jug, then separate the chemical I’m making from the excess. There is nowhere for it to go, sense I can’t flush it in the dispenser. So, then it goes into an empty holder jug. Then I have to run the chemical back into the large beaker. Then poor it into the large jug. But, even a large beaker is very small compared with a large jug. So, I have to repeat this entire convoluted process about 4-5 times to full a large jug. I usually just do it about twice and give it to the CMO.
Is there a better way to do this that I’m missing?
Someone tried to teach me to dump everything into Chem Mixer and ‘mix in the buffer.’ I have no idea how to mix in the buffer without mixing the extra chemicals in with it. I tried it once and I ended up making pills that contained about every chemical in the closet into one pill. I had no idea this is even what I did. Someone else put the pill in a grinder and then revealed to me that I somehow got the Chem Mixer to poop out a little bit of everything into the pill. What is the trick to mixing chemicals in the buffer without just pooping a little bit of all of them out into what you’re making?
I avoid this when I make pills regularly by mixing them in the large beaker and then only using the buffer to extract one chemical at a time from the large beaker. The one and only chemical that I just mixed in it.
