I am seriously impressed with box stations redesigned security, everything is so well laid out. Armory is much more protected from space, and I personally love it when armory has a window for the warden to hand guns out. The little seating area at the entrance is also a great touch for the lawyers.
Genpop looks great and seems to be much harder for prisoners to brute force their way out of. And I can’t forget how wardens office sits perfectly front and center
I just had to say, whoevers been doing the sec redesigns really outdid themselves with box stations. Its dense in a good way and it uses the space it has wonderfully. I’ll be voting for box station from now on.
The only nice thing I have to say about genpop is that it is even more efficient at stacking sentences on tiders, since they are physically incapable of NOT breaking out and I can just perma them right after being put in genpop.
I think the worst part is not being able to open the prisoner lockers as a sec off once they close. Forgot some syndi gear in their bag? Too bad it’s there forever now. Maybe I just don’t get it.
Also having to manually type out the prisoner name and crime a second time (in addition to crime records) is some kafka horror.
I have to disagree here. Now you no longer even have to concern yourself with the mines. A 4TC purchase gets you into the main part of the armory with all the guns insanely quickly. You don’t even need C4 to do it loud or give Sec any time to react. Add to that the fact that the Warden is so far from the armory they might struggle to hear the EMAG door sound.
The post is referring more to the design of the department itself, not so much genpop. Personally I think the lockers work but they need to have the reset sentence button replaced with an “add time” button. And it doesn’t make sense that the lockers don’t show exactly how much time is left but the IDs do.
