Some zombie thoughts

Not 100% sure if it’s needed but I had a thought:

How about making zombies have extra things, like when initial infected rolls, have one or two random people roll “immune” also,
The immune folks don’t get notified unless a zombie tries to infect them, maybe some other benefits for survival and/or also have the option to use their blood for curing a zombie (could call it Ambuzol Ω(ambuzol or ambuzol+ combined with immune blood)), encouraging crew to try and find the immune people before the zombies kill em.

to encourage prepping as initial they could add a couple minutes grace period that initial infected can’t turn yet (could in world explain the infection needs time to build up first)
or instead of grace period they could have an infection chat so initials can communicate and organize the first strike

perhaps with grace period/infected chat it could encourage initials to sabotage a couple things or piling up mice/pets, maybe adding an option passively infect one or two other crew that they can trigger their conversion via button at the cost of cutting your time before forced infection in half (strat example being infecting a cadet to surprise sec or pun pun to surprise the bar).

I have no clue if any of this is even possible to code but thought i’d throw it out there anyways

I like the idea, as some sort of reworking to the zombie rounds. From my experience, zed rounds either go really good or really bad for the crew. (mostly really bad) but given the low frequency of the rounds (5%) I think that it’s not so much a balance issue as it is something to spice up an otherwise predictable round.

When genetics gets implemented, maybe there could be a specific gene that is immune to zed infections. And geneticists could make immunity serums to pass it along. Because just making a couple be immune is very meh regardless of how you look at it. And 90% of the time it would suck because you just die instead of turning (being immune to infection does not mean you take less damage).
But the first issue is that zeds are always round-ending. They are just too impactful to even consider making a cure atm, since there is no point to continue playing after like 20 people got permad just because a zombie graced them.

we need a… what’s the zombie cure called? like some sort of ultra edition of the cure that you put a zombie into the cryo pods and some of the ultra cure and they revive. make it take like 3 minutes or something. that way if it’s somewhat minor, you could intentionally get some animal infected to take its blood and make a bunch of ultra cure. not sure if it should work on ii or not…
